- Commissioner Frank Berry will present DBHDD's FY'13 amended budget to the Human Resources Appropriations Subcommittee today at 1:00 p.m.
- In an ongoing effort to address issues related to law enforcement, Commissioner Berry addressed the Georgia Sheriff's Association on Monday. "Georgia's law enforcement officials are important to the DBHDD service delivery model," said Berry. "We must continue to have dialogue concerning issues that ensure easy access to high quality care."
- On Sunday, Commissioner Berry addressed more than 100 mayors during a presentation to the Community Development Policy Committee at the Georgia Municipal Association's Annual Mayors' Day Conference. Berry expressed a desire to have a world class behavioral health & developmental disability system. He also highlighted the department's commitment to helping individuals and families navigate care and emphasized partnerships with local communities around building support services.
